Build a better picture round
The image should supply the clue.
Choose a question that depends on what people can see. A focused picture round is easier to follow than a mixture of unrelated images and trivia.
| Round idea | What to prepare |
|---|---|
| Flags and countries | Use consistent flag sizes. Check that the design is current and that the answer names the intended country. |
| Landmarks and places | Pick one recognizable feature. Decide whether the answer should name the landmark, city, or country. |
| Everyday objects | Try a close crop, then check it is still solvable. Keep enough detail to support one answer. |
| Animals and nature | Choose a clear subject. Avoid asking for a precise species if the picture only supports a broad category. |
| A personal photo round | Use photos you can share, agree on the expected answer, and avoid private details that participants should not see. |

Work through each question once as an author, then watch the whole quiz as a participant.

Choose picture guess
Start with an AI topic draft or build the questions manually. Check the expected answer before adding the image.
- 02
Add the visual clue
Open Question imagery. Upload a JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF, or choose a search result. Confirm the image and wait for it to save.
- 03
Set up the reveal
Write a short answer and an explanation if useful. Pick a layout, readable text sizes, and a countdown that suits the clue.
- 04
Preview and render
Inspect the image and answer on your intended screen. Export a vertical or landscape MP4 when the full round is ready.
Prepare images that stay clear.
Keep the subject away from the edge, remove accidental answer labels, and use the clearest source you have. A wide image can appear smaller in a portrait video, so check the mobile preview instead of judging only on a large monitor.
The image picker accepts files up to 10 MB. Choosing an image does not automatically verify its subject or answer.
Choose the screen before the style.
For a pub quiz or classroom display, landscape gives a wider canvas. For a phone-first quiz, use vertical and make the image recognizable without zooming. Keep the question, clue, and answer reveal visually separate.

How do I make a picture quiz?
Create a quiz with the picture-guess question type. Add your question and correct answer, then choose or upload a question image in the editor. Review the image, adjust the countdown, and preview the answer reveal before rendering.
Can I upload my own pictures?
Yes. The question image picker accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF files up to 10 MB. After uploading, choose Use this image and wait for the save to finish. Use pictures you own or have permission to use.
Does uploading a picture automatically identify the answer?
The question image is a visual clue for your audience. You should enter or review the correct answer yourself. Do not assume that attaching an image proves an AI-generated answer is correct.
Can I make a picture round for a pub quiz?
Yes. A picture-guess quiz can become a timed video round with answer reveals. Choose landscape for a wide display or vertical for a phone screen. Preview the entire round and allow enough time for people to inspect each clue.
Which images work best for a picture quiz?
Choose a clear subject, a crop that preserves the clue, and an image that stays recognizable at the final viewing size. Avoid filenames or visible labels that reveal the answer. Keep the source and any required attribution with your image.
Can I change an image after the quiz is created?
Yes. Open Question imagery in the editor and select a replacement. The picker confirms the image has saved. Recheck the preview and create a new render to include the replacement in the downloadable video.
Give your images a good question.
Start with your own questions and images, then add the timing and answer reveals.
